Rural repeaters, edge gateways, and small communications nodes on ridgelines, rooftops, and towers — sites chosen for coverage, not for power availability.
Coverage-driven siting puts equipment where grid power isn't. Battery-plus-solar is standard, but deep winter discharge and panel soiling drive maintenance visits and outages.
Solar-only sites are sized for the worst month, inflating panel and battery cost. Diesel or fuel-cell backup adds fuel logistics. Tower sites often have excellent wind that current equipment can't harvest safely.
Elevated, exposed telecom sites are naturally windy. A compact protected unit is designed to add a second, night-capable charging source without the blade-clearance concerns of open rotors near climbing crews and antennas.
Environmental packages
Standoff-mounted units on towers or adjacent masts, integrated with the site's DC plant.
Tower structural loading, RF-clearance, and climbing-safety review govern mounting positions.
